The first small restaurant in the hawker-style food market of Spice Alley, Kyo-To is a tribute to its namesake city with a shoji screen entrance, a red-columned dining room and a courtyard covered with graffitied geishas. Ramen is the hero dish, with a 16-hour pork stock base and six varieties on the menu. Other dishes on offer include udon noodles, chashu and katsu curry, alongside small plates of edamame, gyoza, tempura, karaage chicken, takoyaki (octopus balls) and sushi.
